The Studio

Elliott Bay Recording Company is a large 2,200 square foot recording facility in the Capitol Hill district of Seattle, WA, just five minutes from downtown.

Why come to Elliott Bay Recording Company?

First is the experience. Scott Ross spent 10 years in Los Angeles working with a large variety of artists (check here) ranging from small jazz groups to 40 piece orchestras. Scott has been in Seattle for 12 years now, working with many of the local groups, and traveling to various countries to produce and engineer.

Second is the acoustics at Elliott Bay Recording Company. The large playing room provides excellent sound for huge drums. The concrete walls allow for a wonderful diffused reverb sound. The three other rooms provide the isolation needed to prevent leakage when overdubbing. The large, acoustically designed control room allows the music to translate to the outside world with minimal differences. Also, there's plenty of room for the entire band to feel comfortable.

Third is the equipment. Along with a great sounding Sony digital console and a wide selection of microphones, the HDpro tools system is the industry standard. Click below to pay for a deposit or session using paypal.

The Main Isolation Room The main isolation room measures out at 19'X23'X11'. It has a medium liveness to it which makes it perfect for acoustic instruments. There are also two other isolation rooms that can be used.

The Main Playing Room The main playing room is quite large at 25'X45'X12'. There is ample room to record many different musicians at once, especially with the 3 different isolation rooms being utilized. The large room sound is excellent for recording drums.
